Volunteering with Psychologists Without Borders Venezuela

Backed by: Psicólogos Sin Fronteras Venezuela (PSF-V)

Licensed psychologists and advanced students can enroll as PSF-V members and, after training, staff its psychological first aid line by phone and WhatsApp.

WarningMembership requires paying an enrollment fee (the association's membership and training cost, not a donation to a relief fund). Always verify against inscripcionespsfvenezuela@gmail.com and @psfvenezuela; any charge through other channels may be fraud.

What it does

PSF-V, an NGO founded in 2010 for psychosocial assistance in disasters, launched a free psychological first aid service by phone and WhatsApp after the quake, staffed by mental-health professionals. The organization takes on licensed psychologists as full members (and advanced students as associates) and trains them in disaster response.

How to take part

  1. Write to inscripcionespsfvenezuela@gmail.com requesting the membership application form.
  2. Complete the form and the survey the organization sends.
  3. Pay the enrollment fee by transfer to the account of 'Psicólogos Sin Fronteras de Venezuela A.C.'
  4. Attend the mandatory training course in psychosocial disaster intervention.
  5. For the earthquake line or to coordinate as a volunteer, follow and message @psfvenezuela.
