Distrito Capital Municipal Blood Bank (Caracas)
Backed by: Distrito Capital Municipal Blood Bank
Caracas's main hemotherapy bank. Many seriously injured people from Yaracuy are referred to the capital, and this bank supplies the hospitals operating on them. Donated blood goes straight to the patient.
WarningThe emergency call was coordinated by the Health Ministry: if you'd rather avoid state machinery, donate directly at the bank as a clinical act, not at parallel drives or staged events. Never pay to donate or hand over bank details.
What it does
Free, in-person blood donation at the Municipal Blood Bank, behind Hospital Vargas (Esquina de Pirineos, San José). One whole-blood donation can help several patients (red cells, plasma, platelets). It's on the official list of Caracas centers cleared to receive blood for the earthquake's injured.
