In brief

ShelterBox is a British disaster relief organization that provides emergency shelter (tents, warmth kits, water filters, solar lights). It opened a dedicated appeal for the Venezuela earthquake and is assessing and preparing a response with local partners, with aid pre-positioned in Barbados and Panama. The money is collected outside Venezuela, in pounds or dollars, and its US arm is a 501(c)(3) with tax-deductible donations. Donations are not restricted: any surplus may go to other emergencies.
